Park and Recreation proposed the following pertaining to the managment and condition of the ice <br /> rink: Thev would like to caulk the area between the sidewalk and the building around the total <br /> perimeter. They would like to purchase a roof rake to remove snow from the roof. If these <br /> actions are not taken, we must be prepared to remove a portion of the sidewalk, because of <br /> lawsuits due to blockage of fire exits. <br /> Steve Brown will work with City Staff in the recruitment and retention of ice sink attendants. <br /> _attendants need to be hired by 12/497. Ice scheduling will be dependant on a letter of inquin <br /> from the Hockey A.ssociation. <br /> Park and Recreation want a response from W. Tester regarding Center ille's letter of inquin- <br /> regarding a refund. (Please follow -up.) <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion was held concerning fund raising possibilities to increase awareness in the community <br /> of park and recreation activities and also to generate funds for proiects. <br /> Letters are to be sent to: Chain of Lakes Little League, Centennial Soccer Club, and Centennial <br /> Little League requesting a donation for the development of the fields. <br /> Park and Recreation accept 520.000 for the 1998 budget. <br /> Centerville is unfamiliar with the current grant proceed,. Park and Recreation request staff <br /> provide information or assistance on grant proceeds. <br /> Status of North Metro Recreation - Tabled. <br /> Park and Recreation recognized that Eagle Pass park construction will begin in the spring of 1998. <br /> Kevin Fogarty has rendered his resignation effective 10 1:97. However, he will attempt to serve <br /> until January or until a replacement is found. Staff should inunediately advertise. <br /> NOVEMBER AGENDA <br /> 1. Review fundraising issues. <br /> 2.
