Park and Recreation proposed the following pertaining to the managment and condition of the ice rink: Thev would like to caulk the area between the sidewalk and the building around the total perimeter. They would like to purchase a roof rake to remove snow from the roof. If these actions are not taken, we must be prepared to remove a portion of the sidewalk, because of lawsuits due to blockage of fire exits. Steve Brown will work with City Staff in the recruitment and retention of ice sink attendants. _attendants need to be hired by 12/497. Ice scheduling will be dependant on a letter of inquin from the Hockey A.ssociation. Park and Recreation want a response from W. Tester regarding Center ille's letter of inquin- regarding a refund. NEW BUSINESS Discussion was held concerning fund raising possibilities to increase awareness in the community of park and recreation activities and also to generate funds for proiects. Letters are to be sent to: Chain of Lakes Little League, Centennial Soccer Club, and Centennial Little League requesting a donation for the development of the fields. Park and Recreation accept 520.000 for the 1998 budget. Centerville is unfamiliar with the current grant proceed,. Park and Recreation request staff provide information or assistance on grant proceeds. Status of North Metro Recreation - Tabled. Park and Recreation recognized that Eagle Pass park construction will begin in the spring of 1998. Kevin Fogarty has rendered his resignation effective 10 1:97.
