The Commission will in all <br /> likelihood hold a hearing to further discuss the implications of granting such a waiver <br /> to US West in the hope that a solution can be reached that would allow the <br /> Commission to grant the waiver and remove the need to hold the operator in violation <br /> of its franchise and still protect the telecommunication interests of local governments. <br /> COMMISSION APPROVES RATE INCREASE PENDING FURTHER REVIEW <br /> The Commission has approved Meredith's rate increase application for January 1, <br /> 1997 pending further review.
