City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting <br /> August 24, 2011 <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King, to <br /> 4111 approve the Minutes of the August 10, 2011 City Council Meeting as presented. All <br /> in favor. Paar abstained. Motion carried. <br /> V. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 1. City of Centerville August 10, 2011 through August 24, 2011 Claims (Check <br /> #26606 - 26642) with Voided Check #26628 & Check #26643- 26657) <br /> 2. Centennial Fire District Claims through August 5, 2011 (Check #4913 -4933) <br /> 3. Centennial lakes Police Department Claims through August 11, 2011 (Check <br /> #8537 -8566) <br /> 4. Encroachment Agreement — Fence, 1950 — 72 Street (Mr. & Mrs. John LaVaile) <br /> 5. Res. #11 -0XX — Proclamation of Constitution Week <br /> 6. Res. #11 -OXX — Proclamation of October Being Domestic Violence Awareness <br /> Month <br /> Council Member Fehrenbacher requested that Item #1 be pulled for discussion. <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love, to <br /> approve the Consent Agenda Items #2 -6 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Council Member Fehrenbacher questioned Check #26614 in the amount of $800 for <br /> wood chipping services versus disposing of the brush pile by Public Works Staff and <br /> equipment. Administrator Larson stated that chipping of the pile was more cost effective. • <br /> Several Council Members inquired as to the availability of use of neighboring <br /> communities' equipment and inventories. Administrator Larson stated that he is unaware <br /> of such lists but would be working on this with the collaboration of services within <br /> Anoka County. <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King, to <br /> approve the Consent Agenda Item #1 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> VI. AWARDS /PRESENTATIONS /APPEARANCES <br /> None. <br /> VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Xcel Energy Franchise Ordinance — Tabled from previous meetings <br /> Attorney Glaser reported that a 20 year contract will be forthcoming for Council's <br /> consideration at their next meeting. <br /> • <br /> Page 2of5 <br /> 2 <br />
