City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting <br /> August 24, 2011 <br /> the location requested by the Manager. Mr. Johnson stated that neither owner, Kevin <br /> • Buechler or himself, had been notified of the modifications and they believe that the <br /> current placement and size of the entrance /exit poses a safety issue for customers and is <br /> unsatisfactory for their suppliers of fuel. Mr. Johnson requested that the City rectify the <br /> matter at city expense. Lengthy discussion was had by Council. Legal Counsel stated <br /> that he felt strongly that the Manager represented himself as having the ability to make <br /> decisions on behalf of the owners and the city was correct to rely on those statements. <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar that <br /> City Staff would provide Mr. Johnson with a cost estimate to extend the driveway <br /> by 20 feet to the north and that the work be authorized provided the owner sign an <br /> agreement for payment. All presented vote in favor. Motion carried. <br /> Council Member Paar extended the City's gratitude to all groups and individuals that <br /> volunteered and helped with all of the facets of this year's Fete des Lacs Celebration. <br /> Council Member Paar also expressed his personal thanks to the community for all of their <br /> support throughout his recovery process following his accident the day of the parade. <br /> X. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to <br /> adjourn the regularly scheduled meeting at 8:20 p.m. All in favor.
