Field & Company is the benchmark for insurance agencies in the Upper Midwest <br />because of its tradition of excellence. <br /> <br />The firm was founded in 1912 by Thaddeus C. Field to provide contractor surety and <br />insurance services. Since then, the company has grown and diversified into a full <br />service insurance agency with a complement of 33 employees. The company has staff <br />that has strong public sector experience to provide for the unique insurance and risk <br />management needs of local government. <br /> <br />T.C. Field & Company emphasizes the fundamentals of insurance by providing service <br />to clients backed by a professional staff with expertise in risk management techniques to <br />limit exposures and minimize costs. The firm has been extremely successful with public <br />sector clients because it understands the needs of government and provides the <br />appropriate vehicles for risk reduction and insurance protection. Our firm has served <br />public sector clients since 1964. Our staffs expertise in local government has enabled <br />our agency to recognize gaps in coverage and work directly with the underwriters to <br />improve and broaden coverages. Members of our staff have served on several <br />committees and have reviewed form changes for Mr. Peter Tritz, the League of <br />Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) Administrator. In addition, we have worked <br />with Berkley Risk Administrators Co., LLC, and the underwriters for the LMCIT to <br />address bonding and to improve other coverages for public entities. <br /> <br />2. Governmental entities and services provided through the LMCIT by Agent <br /> <br />We provide typical agent services for all of our customers though the LMCIT. They <br />include the following: <br /> <br />A. Advise and assist the city in assembling and accurate reporting of underwriting <br />data, including updating property values for rating purposes. <br /> <br />B. Advising and assisting the city in evaluating and selecting among coverage <br />alternatives such as deductibles, limits, optional coverages and alternative <br />coverage forms. <br /> <br />C. Review coverage documents and invoices to assure that coverage has been <br />correctly issued and billed. <br /> <br />D. Advise the city on potential gaps or overlaps in coverage. <br /> <br />E.
