Res. #11 -020 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTAIN TERMINATION BENEFITS <br /> - WHEREAS, the City Council has - ,directed the administrator to implement -staff <br /> reductions. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> CENTERVILLE, AHNNESOTA: <br /> That the Council hereby authorizes the administrator to provide staff members that are <br /> 1. After the two -week notice period, an additional one week of compensation <br /> may be paid for each completed year of service. The employee's supervisor <br /> shall be authorized to determine whether the city is best served by the <br /> employee reporting to work or not, during the two week notice period <br /> 2. The City may pay the employee cost for health and dental insurance premiums- <br /> - and shall continue to fund the employee's HSA at the current level to <br /> December 31, 2011, after which the employee may continue coverage <br /> accord ngto law, bypaying his/her own premium expense. - <br /> 3. These additional compensation and benefit payments shall be subject to the <br /> employee signing a separation agreement as prepared by the City attorney. <br /> 4. The Administrator is authorized to secure outplacement services to assist the <br /> terminating employees to secure another job. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of Centerville, Minnesota this 14th day of September, 2011. <br /> Tom Wilharber, Mayor <br /> txest. — <br /> Teresa Bender, Clerk <br />
