CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission held its regularly <br />meeting on August 9, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. <br />PRESENT: <br /> Chairperson Darrin Mosher <br />Commissioner James Flint <br /> Commissioner Eric Larson <br />Commissioner Matthew Montain <br />Commissioner Russ Koski (Newly appointed) <br />ABSENT: <br /> Commissioner Thomas Wood <br />Commissioner Olaf Lee <br />STAFF: <br /> Administrator Dallas Larson <br />OTHERS PRESENT: <br /> Council member D Love <br />Russ Koski executed the oath of office and then took his seat on the Commission. <br />I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Mosher. <br />1.Roll Call <br />II.PUBLIC INPUT/HEARING - <br />The Commission held a public hearing to consider an <br />amendment to City Code, Chapter 156, Zoning which provides authority to grant <br />variances. <br />No one was present to offer comments on the proposed amendment. <br />Motion by Commissioner Larson, seconded by Commissioner Mosher to close the <br />public hearing. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Commissioner Montain, seconded by Commissioner Larson to approve the <br />prepared findings and recommendation for adoption of the ordinance to amend <br />Chapter 156 approving standards and procedures for considering zoning variances. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />III.OLD BUSINESS <br />. <br />1. Comprehensive Plan Alignment – Zoning <br />R-2 (Single Family Residential) Change to M-2 (Mixed Use) <br />The Commission discussed the change and the options, if the Commission does not <br />pass this.
