Hockey Rink Attendant <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Public Works had asked whether Council desires to have <br />a hockey rink attendant this year. <br /> <br />Council discussed the matter and directed Staff to proceed with the hiring of a hockey <br />rink attendant. <br /> <br />vm. . Jackson Commercial - Flood Plain Desie:nation/Developer's AlZreementIFinal <br />Plat <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Keheler, Jackson Commercial, LLC addressed Council and indicated he is <br />working with Rice Creek Watershed District on the possibility of reducing the flood plain <br />designation in the area of his development. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked whether Rice Creek has the authority to <br />reduce the flood plain. <br /> <br />Mr. Keheler indicated that Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has the <br />ultimate authority but has delegated authority to the local governing body for final <br />approval by FEMA. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked whether this would affect the NPDES. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated it overlaps for storm water but the established ponding <br />should be appropriate. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked that the City Engineer be kept apprised of what is going on <br />as well as the NPDES officials. <br /> <br />Page 7 of19 <br />
