penalties do not bar criminal prosecution. <br /> 90.97 Applicability. Nothing in this chapter is intended to supersede state law, or the specific requirements <br /> found in Minnesota Chapter 347.50 to 347.56. It is the intention of the city to more precisely regulate dangerous <br /> animals. <br /> 90.98 Penalty for Violation. Any person who shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a <br /> misdemeanor, with two exceptions: <br /> a. License violations shall be charged as a petty misdemeanor if the violator has no similar offenses in <br /> the preceding three months. <br /> b. Provisions of this chapter governing potential dangerous animals and dangerous animals shall be <br /> guilty of a misdemeanor unless otherwise specified as a gross misdemeanor under State law. <br /> 90.99 Continuing Violations. Each day on which the violation continues shall constitute a separate violation. <br /> Section 2: Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> publication of the attached summary according to law. <br /> SECTION 3. Summary for Publication.
