Daggers, dirk knives, switchblades, or spring blade or push knives, stilettos, or <br />blackjacks; <br />. Chinese throwing stars; <br />. Nunchakus; Shurikens, and Yawara Sticks <br />. Sharp studs; and <br />. Blow Guns <br /> <br />5.02 Regulations. No person shall at any time discharge or use in a manner that may cause bodily <br />harm or property damage any firearm or dangerous weapons upon or onto any lands within the City <br />of Centerville except as provided by this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Subd. 1 Discharge. No person shall discharge a firearm, a bow and arrow, or other dangerous <br />weapons within the City of Centerville, except for the following: <br /> <br />1. Landowners may discharge firearms upon their property provided the <br />property is 10 acres or more in size and the projectile does not carry beyond <br />the property line. The minimum distance for discharging from a structure is <br />500 feet. <br /> <br />2. Landowners may discharge bow and arrows upon their property provided the <br />property is two and one-half (2.5) acres or more in size and the projectile <br />does not carry beyond the property line. <br /> <br />3. Landowners may discharge a firearm upon their property for the purpose of <br />slaughtering animals provided the property is 10 acres in size and the <br />projectile does not carry beyond the property. <br /> <br />4. No person shall discharge any firearm upon the property of another person in <br />an allowed area of 10 acres or more in size with out written permission of the <br />owner or lessee. <br /> <br />5. No person shall discharge any bow and arrow upon the property of another <br />person in an allowed area of two and one-half acres (2.5) or more in size <br />without written permission of the owner or lessee. <br /> <br />6. Recreational target shooting of firearms in an allowed area often acres (10) <br />or more in size shall be directed at a target with a backstop of sufficient <br />strength and density to stop and control the projectile. <br /> <br />7. Recreational target shooting of a bow and arrow in an allowed area of two <br />and one-half acres (2.5) or more in size shall be directed at a target with a <br />backstop of sufficient strength and density to stop and control the projectile. <br /> <br />Page 2 of5 <br />
