Quad City Joint Operational Plan Proposal <br /> <br />Chief Heckman stated with the contemplated merger of departments, both <br />departments had enroiled an Adm. Sgt. into the Northwestern School of <br />Police Staff and Command scheduled for May 19 through July 31. He <br />noted the requirement of this training was to complete a major project that <br />could be useful to participating agencies. He indicated in an effort to <br />assist the appointed quad city governing board.and City Administrators, he <br />suggested offering Adm. 8g1. Nelson to work with the Uno Lakes Police <br />Department Adm. Sgt. at the school on a joint operational plan for the <br />proposed quad department. <br /> <br />D. Monthly Activity Report - March, 2003 <br /> <br />Chief Heckman presented the Monthly Activity Report for March, 2003. <br />The Commissioners had no comments regarding the Report. <br /> <br />E. Monthly Department Summaries - April, 2003 <br /> <br />Chief Heckman presented the Monthly Department Summaries for April, <br />2003. <br /> <br />Commission Lund asked how the two sergeant positions were going. <br />Chief Heckman replied it was going well and they were having regular <br />meetings with the sergeants. He indicated the staff acceptance of them <br />had been good and he expected that to continue. <br /> <br />F. Anoka County Police Chaplaincy Program <br /> <br />Chief Heckman stated he had received a letter from the Bruce Andersohn, <br />Anoka County Sheriff, informing him that the Anoka County Sheriffs Office <br />had recently re-established a Chaplaincy program. He stated the Sheriff <br />was encouraging the Department to take advantage of this service. <br /> <br />G. Status on Part Time Peace Officer <br /> <br />Chief Heckman updated the Commission on the status of the part-time <br />peace officer and noted the peace officer would probably not be returning <br />to the Department due to a previous injury. <br /> <br />a <br />
