" i

J'

June 4, 2003

City of Centerville
Parks and Recreation Committee
Att: Kim Stephan

My name is Julie Lindsay and I have been a homeowner in Centerville since August of
1995. My daughter and my son-in-law have built their second new house here and are
also making Centerville their home.

I was employed with the State of Minnesota, Department of Corrections for 18 years with
the last 9 1/2 years at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Lino Lakes. I retired a little
over a year ago and now have time to devote to Community Activities.

I have seen many changes since 1995 and hope to participate in the plans for Centerville
to improve and support the quality of life that we have here in Centerville.

The bike/walking trails are a wonderful asset to Centerville and I use them often.

I attended the June 4, 2003, Parks and Recreation meetipg and have volunteered to be the
liaison between Lynn Truninger, Chain of Lakes YMCA Program Executive and
Centerville to provide a smooth transition of information. I have also volunteered to
adopt the maintenance of Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park flowerbed.

I hope that you will consider me for the vacancy on the Parks and Recreation Committee.
Thank you for your time in this matter.

, '
