RESOLUTION #12 -0 Gj <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING WORKERS COMPENSATION COVERAGE <br /> FOR ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has investigated the cost and benefits of providing <br /> workers compensation coverage to elected and appointed officials, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council determines that elected and appointed officials have some risk <br /> of injury while acting on behalf of the City which could leave an official unable to work <br /> at his/her regular job, thus putting them at serious financial peril. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. Pursuant to Minnesota Workers' Compensation Act, Minnesota Statutes 176.011, <br /> subd. 9, clause 6. the following officers of the City of Centerville, elected or appointed <br /> are hereby included in the City's workers compensation coverage: <br /> • The Mayor & Council Members <br /> • Members of Parks & Recreation Committee <br /> • Members of the Planning & Zoning Commission <br /> 2.
