<br />e Parades <br />Participating in summer parades has become a fun-filled annual activity for <br />us. Last year, we were in the Tower Days, Blue Herron Days, and Fetes des <br />Lacs parades. We handed out thousands of flyers telling parade attendees <br />when they could see the parade on channel 15, along with hyping our news <br />program, City Scope. We also pelted innocent observers with a wide variety <br />of confectionary treats and this year we also handed out t-shirts. While staff <br />did not participate in the Blaine parade, we did serve as judges for the chili <br />contest and we covered many of the Blazin' 4th events for City Scope. All four <br />of the parades were videotaped, as well. <br /> <br />. Website <br />The website continues to be an important outreach tool. Through it we are <br />able to publicize the program schedules for channels 14 and 15, keep people <br />updated regarding events and news, and answer most questions people have <br />regarding the facility. It is updated on a weekly basis. <br /> <br />. Tours <br />Tours remain a popular service provided by North Metro Community <br />Television. Michele has <br />developed a fun learning <br />experience for the legions of <br />scouts and other groups who <br />want to see what a television <br />studio is all about. When they <br />arrive, she spends an hour or so <br />with each group, showing them <br />the facility, helping them make a <br />channel 15 promo, letting them <br />push buttons, and giving <br />everyone a Channel 15 studio <br />pass to proudly wear and take <br />home. Last year over 300 people <br />were introduced to our facility via a tour. Based on the thank you cards she <br />receives, I'd have to say the tours make a very positive impression. <br /> <br /> <br />. Flyers and PR Kits <br />We continued to send playback flyers out with the guys on van shoots. The <br />flyers advertise when the game, that is currently being taped, will play back <br />on channel 15. <br /> <br />We also produced some new PR kits that contain general information <br />regarding the services we have to provide. The kits are handed out to <br />prospective students, tour participants, and came in very handy during our <br />open house. <br /> <br />16 <br />
