City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> February 8, 2012 <br /> to discuss trail signage. Council Member King also thanked those who attended the <br /> recent caucuses. <br /> Mayor Wilharber thanked Staff for their continued efforts in collaborating with <br /> neighboring communities which has proven to be successful in the potential for the salt <br /> brine project, building inspections and secretarial services. <br /> Council Member Love reported that he attending the most recent Fire Steering meeting <br /> and stated that Chief Streich has proposed to have duty crews of three (3) firefighters <br /> work daily shifts due to most firefighters participating in daytime employment and away <br /> from their local station. Council Member Love also stated that the Department would <br /> like to provide ambulance service in the future, since the Fire Department usually arrives <br /> prior to an ambulance, transporting the patient would be a logical next step. The <br /> Legislature would need to approve local authority to make this decision. A resolution for <br /> preliminary Council support would be forthcoming. Mayor Wilharber stated that Chief <br /> Streich would be attending an upcoming meeting to review this and the staffing situation <br /> of the Department. <br /> Council Member Love reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission scheduled a <br /> public hearing for their next meeting to obtain public input regarding Code modification <br /> to the Commercial district relating to conditional uses. <br /> X. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member King, to adjourn <br /> the City Council Meeting of February 8, 2012 at 7:26 p.m.. All in favor.
