In second place are "quiet and <br /> peaceful," "friendly people," and "rural and open spaces." The most serious issue facing <br /> Centerville today is "high taxes," with a secondary concerns about "rate of growth" and "road <br /> conditions." Finally, "road conditions," "high taxes," and A "lack of businesses" are the most <br /> often cited characteristics of the community needed to be fixed or improved. <br /> Eighty -seven percent give Centerville a positive rating on its quality of life; in fact, 22% see it as <br /> "excellent." Eighty percent rate the strength of community identity and the sense of <br /> neighborliness in Centerville highly, while 19% are more critical. A comparatively high 84% <br /> rate the general appearance of their neighborhood favorably. All in all, 59% think Centerville is <br /> headed in the "right direction," while 31% see it off "on the wrong track." <br /> 17 <br /> 50 <br />
