Services in Comparison to <br /> Neighboring Communities <br /> Respondents were asked: <br /> How would you rate Centerville's city services in com- <br /> parison with neighboring communities — excellent, <br /> good, only fair, or poor? <br /> Forty-eight percent rate Centerville's city services in comparison with neighboring communities <br /> as either "excellent" or "good:" <br /> EXCELLENT 4% <br /> GOOD 44% <br /> ONLY FAIR .. 29% <br /> POOR ... 6% <br /> DON'T KNOW/REFUSED 17% <br /> But, 35% are more critical with either "only fair" or "poor" evaluations. <br /> Favorable ratings are posted more often by: <br /> • those rating the quality of life as good <br /> • those rating the sense of community identity positively <br /> • those thinking the city is going in the right direction <br /> • those rating the value of city services favorably <br /> • those feeling empowered <br /> Unfavorable ratings are cited at a higher rate by: <br /> • those rating the quality of life as only fair or poor <br /> • those rating the sense of community identity negatively <br /> • those thinking the city is off on the wrong track <br /> • those rating the value of city services unfavorably <br /> • those not feeling empowered <br /> • those that have had contact with city staff <br /> Summary and <br /> Conclusions <br /> City services are generally well regarded by Centerville residents.
