CITY OF CENTEiZIaLLE tervif MONTiYL YENGINEER`S REPORT For the April 11, 2012 City Council Meeting Italics = New information. Normal = No change from last report. 1. 21 Avenue /Backage Road (000616- 05143 -0). This matter is pending in the court system. 2. TE Grant Trail Project (000616- 08165 -0). Construction is complete. Final pay quantity issues are resolved with the exception of traffic control during the state shutdown. Once punch list items are taken care of in the spring, a final payment can be made. 1 2008 Downtown Storm Water Improvemennts (000616- 08167-0). The irrigation system was up and running this fall. Next spring, the contractor will be required to restart the system and demonstrate its proper operation again. Once that is complete, the city will take over maintenance and operation. A public viewing of the system is being planned for early next summer. 4. 2012 Surface Water Management Plan Update (193802232). A draft of the new Surface Water Management Plan has been created and we are working on adding information to it from various sources Our storm water staff has met with Rice Creels Watershed District for a preliminary discussion on the plan and is following up on their input, A draft, ready for staff review should be completed in Me next few weeks. 5. Miscellaneous: The 2012 Street project has been delayed for consideration at a future date. The series of thin overlay projects outlined in the City's updated Pavement Management Plan are to remain on schedule, beginning in 2013. The City's Public Works Staff will begin preparation work for the 2013 project in the summer of 2012, by completing: curb replacements, bituminous patching, water main bolt replacements and other such work which should precede a street overlay.
