CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> RESOLUTION #12 -012 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INCREASES IN <br /> FIREFIGHTER PENSION <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the hard work and dedication of <br /> the firefighters of Centennial Fire District, and <br /> WHEREAS, Centennial firefighters receive on -call pay together with a <br /> lump -sum pension as their means of compensation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the pension amount of the firefighters is currently $4,000 per <br /> year of service, and <br /> WHEREAS, the firefighter pension amount has not increased since <br /> 2006; and <br /> WHEREAS, the financial condition of the pension fund is sound; and <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of <br /> the City of Centerville that the City approves an increase in the pension <br /> amount for Centennial Fire District to $4,200, effective immediately. <br /> Adopted by the City Council this 7 day o , 2012 <br /> <br /> Tom Wilharber, Mayor <br /> � Attest . <br /> Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />
