City of Centerville <br /> Parks and Recreation Committee <br /> May 2, 2012 <br /> presented several ideas for improving the audience's comfort while viewing the <br /> shows at Trailside Park. <br /> Council Discussion at their May 25, 2012 Council Meeting. <br /> Administrator Larson Dallas stated that the Bald Eagle Waterski Show desires to again provide <br /> practices and shows within the City at Trailside Park. Administrator Larson stated that the City <br /> owns property that abuts CSAH14 and the St. Paul Regional Water Department owns the property <br /> that abuts the lake. Administrator Larson stated that the City has an agreement in place with the <br /> Water Department to utilize the property and it expires in 2013. Attorney Glaser suggested a more <br /> formal permit for the Bald Eagle Waterski Show, Inc. which would help elevate liability concerns <br /> and add protection for the City. Administrator Larson stated that due to Attorney Glaser's vacation <br /> and Bald Eagle Waterski Show's scheduled use the item has been forwarded to them for <br /> consideration slightly premature even though the permit needs minor refinement. <br /> IV. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> Consideration of the April 4, 2012 Parks and Recreation Committee meeting minutes. <br /> Requests were made to amend the meeting minutes with the following corrections: <br /> • 2012 Music in the Parks, Page 3 — Paragraph 3 change "commenced" to "commended "; <br /> • 2012 Music in the Parks, Page 3 — b. Expenditure of Funds for Refreshments (Ice Cream, <br /> Popcorn & Drinks) within the motion change "approve" to "recommend "; <br /> • Earth Day/Park Clean up, Page 4 — change "days" to "day" and "place" to "placed ". <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member , seconded by Committee Member , to <br /> approve the April 4, 2012 meeting minutes as amended. All in Favor. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> 1. Minute Discussion <br /> Some Committee members felt that the minutes have become too brief for <br /> understanding and that there should at least be several sentences that capture the gist <br /> of the discussion. <br /> 2. Sand Volleyball Court <br /> The Committee felt that there was confusion in the amounts that have been held in <br /> reserve for the project and requested that the Finance Director attend the next <br /> meeting. <br /> 3. Park Clean Up <br /> The Committee felt that Mr. Palzer may not have received all of the Committees <br /> notes from the Earth Day Cleanup and various park necessities. <br /> 4. 2012 Music in the Parks Flyer <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br />
