RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT <br /> COST -SHARE AGREEMENT <br /> COST -SHARE AGREEMENT between the Rice Creek Watershed District, 4325 Pheasant <br /> Ridge Drive NE, Suite 611, Blaine, Minnesota 55449 and the Cities of Centerville. <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. City of Centerville (City) intends to implement a project "Sodium Chloride Management <br /> Program" ( "Project "), in partnership with the Cities of Circle Pines, Columbus, Hugo, Lexington, <br /> and Lino Lakes. <br /> B. The Rice Creek Watershed District (District) has a cost -share program for the <br /> improvement and remediation of stormwater management systems in developed urban <br /> environments. <br /> C. In accordance with Program guidelines, the District desires to provide the City cost - <br /> share assistance for the Project. <br /> THEREFORE, in consideration of mutual promises set forth herein and other good and valuable <br /> consideration, the District and the City agree as follows: <br /> I. CITY RESPONSIBLITIES. <br /> A. City Partnership, Equipment schedule and Snow and Ice Operations Plan. The City will <br /> submit (1) copies of all memorandums of understanding ( "MOU's ", or equivalent) between the <br /> Cities, (2) final equipment schedules, and (2) a Snow and Ice Operations plan, to the District for <br /> the Administrator's written approval. <br /> B. Construction and Maintenance. The City, through its own personnel and or contractors, <br /> will complete the Project in accordance with the approved equipment schedules and plans and <br /> operate and maintain the same through the project reporting period. In doing so, the City will <br /> comply with all applicable laws and regulations and will be responsible for acquiring all permits, <br /> approvals and temporary and permanent rights of access or easement. <br /> C. Completion of Construction. The City staff or consulting engineer will certify the <br /> completion of Project within 24 months from the effective date of this agreement. The City will <br /> submit to the District documentation of Project expenditures and the certification of <br /> completion. <br /> D. Annual Reports. The City shall submit for review and approval by the District an annual <br /> report for each winter season from 2012 -2013 through 2016 -2017 (five years), by June 30 of <br /> the following year, detailing the amount and type of salt and /or sand products used by each of <br /> 1 <br /> 14 <br />
