Resolution Number 12 -014 <br /> A resolution authorizing city attorney to take action to abate nuisance violation. <br /> WHEREAS, beginning in June of 2011, the City of Centerville gave notice of code <br /> violation to the property owner of lots at 7121 Centerville Road that the property had <br /> debris on the property harboring vermin as well as other nuisance issues, and <br /> WHEREAS, the building official and city administrator have worked with the property <br /> owner inspecting the property and meeting with them several times attempting to secure <br /> abatement of the code violations , and <br /> WHEREAS, the property owners finally committed to having the property cleaned up by <br /> June 26, 2012, and <br /> WHEREAS, as of this date minimal progress has been made to resolve the nuisance <br /> violations. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br /> The City Council hereby directs that the City Attorney be authorized to secure abatement <br /> of the violation through any appropriate civil process and/or through prosecution, <br /> however that legal action be put in abeyance until July 18, 2012, pending another <br /> inspection of the property by the city building official who shall report whether or not <br /> compliance has been achieved by that date. A listing of the items to be removed is <br /> attached. <br /> Adopted by the City Council this 27 day of June, 2012. <br /> Tom Wilharber, Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> Teresa Bender, Clerk <br />
