We hope that your event was well received; however, the City of Centerville would like to suggest that in the future an event such as this be communicated to the City months in advance. We do understand that arrangements can change during the planning stages and occasionally last minute changes in planning or scheduling are needed. We should like to stress that advance knowledge of such an event gives the appropriate authorities a heads up for their planning and coverage of such an activity. This notice is not intended to hinder your organization from such events in our community in the future, but we do request ample time to notify all entities that may be involved, i.e., police, fire department, City Council, appropriate permitting and etc. This will ensure an all-around successful event showcasing the professionalism of the community and the organization both. The City encourages a working partnership between organizations and itself and we strive to participate in such endeavors. We desire to make events that take place in our community pleasurable and memorable for the organizations we participate in and residents that we serve. Enclosed for future events, please find a Special Event Application. This application will ensure that all of the appropriate entities are notified and guarantee Council action on the scheduled event.
