METRO C <br /> Association of Metropolitan Municipalities <br /> Metro Cities Legislative Policy Committees <br /> Metro Cities' policy committees annually develop policy recommendations based on <br /> input from member city representatives. Committees submit policy recommendations to <br /> the Board of Directors for review, modification and distribution to the general <br /> membership. The membership meets in November, prior to the legislative session, to <br /> debate and adopt Metro Cities' policies. <br /> *********************************************** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ** <br /> Metropolitan Agencies <br /> This committee considers issues related to the Metropolitan Council and monitors the <br /> structure and relationship between local and regional units of government. The <br /> committee has developed policies regarding land use planning, inflow and infiltration, <br /> water supply, the sewer availability charge (SAC), the Met Council's selection process, <br /> livable communities, and density. <br /> Municipal Revenues <br /> This committee considers any matter relating to city revenues, property taxes and city <br /> expenditures, including state aids and credits, levy limits, property tax relief programs, <br /> assessments, fiscal disparities and the state and local fiscal relationship. <br /> Housing &Economic Development <br /> This committee considers all issues related to economic development, redevelopment, <br /> and housing.
