We will excavate and remove 1.5 feet of soil from the proposed 80' x 50' volleyball court. We will haul away approximately 222 cubic yards of excavated soil. The sub -grade will be laser - graded with an automated dozer to insure accuracy. We will place 78 cubic yard of pea rock which is to be supplied by the City, staged at the parking lot next to the court site. The pea rock will be laser graded for a depth of approximately six inches. We will install 60 feet of rigid 4 -inch draintile to include 50 feet on the south sige''of the court area and a 10 foot run on the southwest corner, running toward the north. The draintile will daylight to the northwest."The draintile will be surrounded with rock and the rock will be covered with approximately 512 square yards of geotextile 140NC 4 -ounce fabric. We will also install approximately 150 feet of 4 -inch SDR35 solid piping to include a cleanout in the line and a rodent gtlard'at the point of discharge. The excavation areas will be backfilled and graded. We will seed, fertilize, and mulch the areas disturbed during the installation of the draintile discharge line. We will build a 2 x 12" containment border out of ground- contact treated lumber and install this around the perimeter of the court. We will then haul in and laser grade up to 231 tons of concrete sand for a one foot depth to create the play area of the volleyball court. We will also install the net poles, net, and necessary apparatus per the attached detailed quote from United Volleyball Supply, Inc. The cost for this work is $22,387.93. If mason sand is selected instead of concrete sand, the cost would increase by $3,097.71. No permits, no asphalt or concrete restoration included. The City is to supply the pea rock. If the City has a disposal site for the excavated soil, the cost of the proposed work may be reduced if the trucki time is minimized from the time in the above estimate. Any person or company supplying labor or materials for this improvement to your property may file a lien against your property if that person or company is not paid for the contributions. Under Minnesota law, you have the right to pay persons who supplied labor or materials for this improvement directly and deduct this amount from our contract price, or withhold the amounts due from us until 120 days after completion of the improvement unless we give you a lien waiver signed by persons who supplied the labor or material for the improvement and who gave you timely notice. We reserve the right to file a lien if payment in full is not received within 30 days of the invoice date. Any additional costs will be added to the bill for interest, legal expenses, attorney fees, and for collection costs.
