<br /> <br />APRIL 2003 SCHEDULING <br /> <br />The Centennial Lakes Police Department is currently operating at full staff We have 17 <br />sworn officers on staff including the Chief and Deputy Chief Our part time officer Paul <br />Hinson is still out on medical leave but doing well <br /> <br />Officers took 24 shifts off during the month of April, plus 2 shifts where an Officer was at <br />training. One of the officers lost a close family member and took 1 day of funeral leave. <br />Sergeant Gleason was in.r~ed wn~e on duty in the act of savi..ng a 3-year-old child from a <br />fire, and was on light duty for 6 days during the month. This brought us to a total of 32 <br />shifts to be covered in April There were also 4 additional shifts where an officer left <br />early due to illness. They are broken down as such; <br /> <br />Vacation <br />Comp time <br />Holidays <br />Sick time <br />Funeral Leave <br />Light Duty <br />Training <br /> <br />11 shifts <br />02 shifts <br />08 shifts <br />02 shifts <br />01 shift <br />06 shifts <br />02 shifts <br /> <br />Part time officer Hinson covered 0 of those shifts <br />Deputy Chief Makela covered. 0 of those shifts <br />Investigator Blanck covered 1 of those shifts <br />Sergeant Nelson covered 5 of those shifts <br />Overtime covered 1 of those shifts <br />. Payback covered 0 of those shifts <br /> <br />We underwent a schedule. change during April to adjust for the two new sergeant <br />positions. This schedule change as wen as officers flexing their schedules was utilized to <br />adjust and cover the vacant shifts~ We maintained our street cov~rage with only a few <br />exceptions. During the weekdays the day power shift was supplemented with the Chief; <br />Deputy Chief; and Investigator. There were 8 day-power shifts not covered on the <br />weekends. We were short street coverage 1 day during the month. <br /> <br />35 <br />
