PavilionIW arming House Remodeling

Council Member Capra indicated that she asked that this be placed on the agenda for
discussion.

Mayor Sweeney indicated that a year ago he was working for somebody else and he did a
bid for the warming house for doing the roof and the re-roof at that time for a 25 year 310
tear off and replacement that did not include replacing any rotted roofboards was $4,485
for labor and material. He then indicated he had spoken to the Lions Club and had gotten
feedback that the Lions are interested in getting started with at least a picnic pavilion this
year and have a plan that was presented to a contractor and they are waiting for a bid on
the concrete portion before figuring out the total price of the structure.

Mayor Sweeney indicated the Lions would like to have the City purchase the materials
necessary and the Lions would donate the labor to put the roof on. He then indicated that
the Lions are waiting for further information on the plan for the pavilion structure and
would be presenting that to the City as soon as it is available.

Council Member Capra asked if the Lions would like to add onto the warming house.

Mayor Sweeney indicated that the plan the Lions are working on does not include adding
onto the warming house because there are issues with the location such as the drainage
ditch and the fact that the building is too far from the soccer and baseball fields. He then
said that the Lions have no problem fixing the warming house but it does not function as
a concession stand.
