CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> January 23, 2013 <br /> 6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled <br /> meeting of January 23, 2013, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: - Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> Council Member Ben Fehrenbacher <br /> Council Member Steve King <br /> Council Member D. Love <br /> Council Member Jeff Paar <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> STAFF: City Administrator Dallas Larson <br /> City Engineer Mark Statz <br /> Legal Counsel Kurt Glaser <br /> Public Works Director Paul Palzer <br /> I <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Wilharber called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> II. PUBLIC HEARING(S) <br /> Mayor Wilharber opened the public hearing to consider the Business Subsidy Policy at 6:31 p.m. <br /> 1. Business Subsidy Policy <br /> Administrator Larson stated that the presented policy is an amendment of the City's current <br /> policy but contains required language regarding jobs and minimum pay guidelines but was also <br /> drafted with HAF Equipment in mind. Administrator Larson also stated no one from the public <br /> had submitted comments or is present at the meeting this evening. <br /> Mayor Wilharber closed the public hearing on the Business Subsidy Policy at 6:32 p.m. <br /> Mayor Wilharber opened the public hearing regarding Granting a Business Subsidy for HAF <br /> Equipment at 6:32 p.m. <br /> 2. Potential for Granting a Business Subsidy for HAF Equipment <br /> Administrator Larson stated that HAF Equipment is currently in negotiations regarding the <br /> purchase of land needed and due to that status, no development agreement has been drafted. <br /> Both Administrator Larson and Attorney Glaser recommending continuing the public hearing <br /> until the next regularly scheduled meeting of Council. <br /> 3 <br />
