City of Centerville <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> February 5, 2013 <br /> The following regulations might be among the rules to be included in a code change regulating <br /> keeping of chickens in the city: <br /> • Maximum number of chickens would be four. <br /> • Chicken coops would be permitted in the manner of accessory buildings. <br /> • Permits would be issued for chickens and valid for either two or three years. <br /> • Coops must be kept a minimum of ten feet from any property line. <br /> 0 Coops may be kept in the rear -yard only. <br /> 2. Leave of absence. <br /> It was reported that Commissioner Montain has joined the Centennial Fire District and will be <br /> undergoing firefighter training for the next several months. He has requested a leave of absence <br /> from the Commission. The matter will be brought to the Council, but Mayor Wilharber has asked <br /> the Commission whether it would be a hardship if the leave were granted. Consensus was that <br /> Commission supported the request and wishes Matt success with his training. <br /> VI. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> 1. Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes of January 2, 2013 <br /> 2. Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes of January 8, 2013. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Larson, seconded by Commissioner Koski to approve minutes <br /> from the January 2 and January 8, 2013 meetings All in favor. Motion carried <br /> unanimously <br /> VII. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Lee to adiourn the meeting at <br /> 7:50 p.m. All in favor.
