COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Centennial Soccer Club – Request to Use Field(s) @ LaMotte Park (1, 2, & 11) & Acorn <br />Creek Park (Field 1) April 1 – July 26, 2013 5:30 p.m. to Sunset & August 1 – October 30, <br />2013 5:00 p.m. to Sunset <br /> <br />The Committee discussed. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Peterson to approve Summer Schedule as written (April <br />to July), and alter the fall schedule (August to October) to Acorn Creek Park and LaMotte Park <br />Location 11 only – All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Committee Member Jon Grahek <br />abstained due to neighbor relationship with requester. <br /> <br />2. Volunteer Flyer <br /> <br />Discussion took place. Feedback to Committee Member Seeley was to add “Other” for flexibility for <br />new ideas that are not on the list. <br /> <br />3. <br /> Special Event Permit Application – 8K Walk/Run/In-Line & Kids Free ½ Mile Fun Run <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Grahek and seconded by Committee Member <br />Amundsen to approve the request. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Special Event Permit Application – 5K and 8K Walk/Run “Shake Your Shamrock”, March <br />16, 2013 – Kelly’s Korner <br />Discussion took place by the Committee. <br />Motion by Committee Member Seeley and seconded by Committee Member Amundsen to <br />recommend approval contingent on not using the Cornerstone Park as the start or finish area. <br />Recommend using empty lot bordered by Centerville/Sorel/Heritage Roads. Park and Rec and <br />City of Centerville not responsible for conditions of trail or cleaning before and after the event. <br />They will need to contact Anoka Parks for use of trail in Park system. <br /> <br />5. 2013 Upgrades to Park <br />Discussion took place by Committee to brainstorm a list of ideas. <br /> <br />a.Water Ski Bench <br /> <br />b.Tennis Court Bench <br /> <br />c.Kitchen Make Over @ LaMotte Park <br /> <br />d.Hidden Spring Park Irrigation <br /> <br />e.Trail Sign for Music in the Park to place on sidewalk to promote event <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />
