City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> April 10, 2013 <br /> Television Adapter (DTA) for free by calling the North Metro Telecommunications <br /> Commission at (763) 231 -2801 and the Commission will be happy to facilitate this. <br /> Council Member King stated that he would desire for this information to be placed on the <br /> City web site. <br /> Council Member Paar reported that Fire Chief Streich, Mayor Bartholemay, Circle Pines <br /> and he all attended a recent Fire Marshal Conference where open discussion took place <br /> regarding structures of departments and operations. Council Member Paar stated that the <br /> conference lasted approximately two (2) hours and that that it was very worthwhile. <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated that the Centennial Fire District was presently participating in <br /> their annual audit. Mayor Wilharber stated that the City of Centerville's auditors, Abdo, <br /> Eick & Meyers would be attending Council's next meeting to report on the annual audit <br /> of the City's financials. <br /> Administrator Larson stated that the Planning & Zoning Commission would like to move <br /> forward the allowing the keeping of chickens on residential property, however, due to the <br /> Centennial Lakes Police Departments enforcement of City Codes, the cities of Circle <br /> Pines and Lexington would be meeting to determine whether they also desired to <br /> participate in allowing their residents the opportunity to house chickens. Administrator <br /> Larson felt that a Code Amendment would be forwarded to Council for their <br /> consideration sometime in May. <br /> Administrator Larson reported that he request from Council <br /> Members /Committee /Commission members a more concise listing of goals which he has <br /> provided to Council this evening. Administration Larson stated that taxes and spending <br /> are of high priority along with park maintenance, streets, quality of life, community <br /> heritage, citizen feedback and safety. Administrator Larson reported that on the reverse <br /> side of the goals he had added surrounding communities tax rates for comparison and <br /> measurement. Council Member Paar stated that it is very difficult to compare what <br /> services are being offered by what communities and that it may be too difficult to equate <br /> these rankings to Centerville's or to each other. <br /> Consensus of the Council was that the abbreviated goals were simple and concise. They <br /> will be added to a work session agenda for further consideration. <br /> X. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br /> adiourn the regularly schedule Council Meetine of April 10, 2013 at 7:14 p m All in <br /> favor.
