That fact tells everyone that you are both very intelligent and active in community. It was a pleasure to talk with you this afternoon. On behalf of Centerville's Park and Recreation Committee, thank you for volunteering to help the City care for our parks and trails. Please pass our appreciation on to the other members and advisors of the Centennial High School National Honor Society. Here are my request of you: 1). Please share this note with your parents and advisor at school. They may have some suggestions that we did not think about. They should also know that we are having this discussion. 2). 1 would also like to know the name and email address or telephone number of your advisor at school. I would like to contact him or her. 3). Please this discuss our proposal with the other members of National Honor Society. Please determine how many of they want to participate and what dates work out well for you as a group. Proposal: This is a summary of what we talked about this afternoon. 1). We will meet on a Saturday afternoon in May in one or more of Centerville's parks. 2). The work to be preformed is to get the park ready for the 2013 growing season. Specifically to remove the old growth from last season and to pull what obvious weeds we find in the park gardens. 3). If we have a large group, we will form teams and clean more parks. After the volunteers gather the old growth, Centerville Public Works will pick up the bags of material and take them to the County compost site. 4). We will document your volunteer hours so that everyone gets credit for their work. Our committee knows that this documentation is important. I travel a bit and Spring has yet to arrive, so depending on the date we select, I may not be there. But someone from our committee will be. Like yourself, the committee members are all volunteers.
