PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> Wednesday, April 4, 2013 — 6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of Centerville <br /> held a scheduled meeting on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Centerville City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> Present: Vice - Chairperson Jon Grahek <br /> Committee Member Kevin Amundsen <br /> Committee Member Chris Bettinger <br /> Committee Member Mark Haiden U <br /> Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br /> Committee Kevin Waeghe n <br /> Committee Member Brian Peterson U <br /> Absent: Chairperson Patrick Branch <br /> Also Present: Public Works Director Paul Palzer <br /> Council Member Steve King <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice - Chairperson Jon Grahek called the April 4, 2013 Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting <br /> to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Roll Call — see above <br /> II. SET AGENDA <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Haiden, seconded by C Member <br /> S eele y, to set the agenda as presented with one addition: add #7 Ea rth Day u nder #V. <br /> Committee Business All in favor. Motion carried unanim <br /> III. APPEARANCES <br /> 1. Ms. Jessie Hull, Secretary of Bald Eagle Water Ski Club <br /> Ms. Hull presented a Park Facility Permit Application and requested the Committee to allow the <br /> Ski Club the following: <br /> a. use of the same area of the lake and the lakeshore at Trailside Park, as the past 2 years; <br /> b. practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the possible addition of Wednesday practices; <br /> also a potential for several weekend practices, if needed; <br /> C. potential for additional shows as opposed to previous years; <br /> d. they would be requesting a permit from Anoka County /DNR for the ski jump placement. <br /> Ms. Hull stated that the Ski Club remains interested in treating their use area either by chemicals <br /> or cutting. Ms. Hull also stated that they have received estimates for chemically treating 15 <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br />
