CALL TO ORDER. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Mosher at 6:30p.m. <br /> 1. Roll Call <br /> II. APPEARANCES: None <br /> III. OLD BUSINESS: None <br /> 1. Keeping of Chickens in the city. <br /> The Commission reviewed a new draft of proposed language to amend the City Code allowing <br /> chickens to be kept in residential areas, subject to limitations. The city has been working with its <br /> partner cities served by the Centennial Lakes Police Department to have common ordinance <br /> language. The recent changes reflect suggestions by the City of Circle Pines. Consensus was that <br /> the changes are fine. It was suggested that the code be moved forward to Council with the <br /> understanding that additional minor changes may be made to coordinate with Circle Pines and <br /> Lexington over the next month and thereafter submitted to the City Council for adoption. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Lee seconded by Commissioner Larson recommend that council <br /> adopt the amendments to allow chickens to be kept in residential neighborhoods with the <br /> understanding that minor changes may still be made All in favor. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> IV. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Request for Conditional Use Permit — 7093 — 21" Avenue North (King Core & <br /> Metals), Core & Scrap Dealer Mr. John Haluptzok/Building Owner Craig <br /> Kozar <br /> After review, consensus of the Commission was that the recycling business is not currently <br /> permitted as a conditional or permitted use in the I -1 or B -1 zones.
