I will do that. I still want to stop and meet you. Face to face
discussions are always best.
For the check. Please give the check to Teresa Bender, City Clerk. She is at City Hall - just up the street from your
location. Or send it to her by mail: City of Centerville, 1880 Main Street Centerville, MN 55038. Make the check out to
the City of Centerville.
You are welcome to hand out materials or we can place them on a table where everyone will check in. As for other
ideas and demos: How about leading all the runners in a little warm -up exercise before the runs start? At the start line
about 7:50 a.m.
There is a music jamboree on Friday night (July 26) and the Lions hold a street dance at LaMotte park on Saturday night.
i don't have any influence over the street dance. More importantly, I don't think that either of those events are the right
environment for kids doing a demo. But we can talk about that.
Are you involved in the parade? A group walking the parade and stopping to do short demos would give you greater
exposure to families with young children, as opposed to the street dances which are mostly young adults.
If you want to do the parade, you can register on line at www.centervillemn.com You will find a link for registration in
the left hand column of the website.
You might also consider having a team do one or both of the runs. I keep trying to enlist teams, but so far we do not
have any groups running as a team, which could be a good thing as the team would be unique and highly noticeable.
Thanks again for being a sponsor.
Looking forward to meeting you in person
Pat Branch
On Jun 20, 2013, at 10:29 AM, Sensei Matt wrote:
> Hey Pat,
>I did get your voicemail yesterday. We would like to hand out
materials. We would also like to have something similar to the Yoga with our fitness instructors. Just let me know how
to proceed with that. I know their have been dancers under a tent at the park, so we would love to get some Karate kids
out there to demonstrate as well.
1
