City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 26, 2013 <br />Administrator Larson stated that this ordinance would allow the City/Police Department <br />latitude to enforce non-permitted uses of the park or cease damages being sustained due <br />to negligence of a permitted or non-permitted user. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br />table consideration of this item until such time as reviewed by the Parks & <br />Recreation Committee. All in favor. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Mr. Ron Hogan, 1784 Meadow Lane – 6892 Centerville Road Sewer Connection <br />Special Assessment Request <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated that he had requested that Mr. Hogan provide cost estimates <br />prior to the meeting and Mr. Hogan failed to do so. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King to table Mr. <br />Hogan’s request until such time as he presents costs estimates for the installation of <br />sewer at 6892 Centerville Road. All in favor. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />Administrator Larson reported that the six (6) cities have been collaborating on the <br />possibility of a joint utility for water services, participated in meetings with local <br />representatives and legislative staff, League of Minnesota Cities and the Met. Council. <br />Administrator Larson stated that Metropolitan Council desires to provide approximately <br />$50,000, for the technical and financial analysis study. Met. Council will complete a <br />Request for Proposal (RFP) and contract a consultant on behalf of the group; however, <br />the work plan utilized will be that of the group and the group will manage the work. <br />Administrator Larson stated that it is believed that Met. Council is excited to see such <br />cooperative efforts by Cities. <br /> <br />Council Member King reported that the NMTC has filed another grievance with the FFC <br />against Comcast. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that recently he participated in the League of Minnesota <br />Cities Conference and received, on behalf of the City, a City of Excellence award for the <br />Ticket Education Program. Council Member Paar reported that the program is an on-line <br />educational tool for individuals that receive minor traffic tickets in exchange for <br />insurance reporting, driving history records and fees being kept locally rather than passed <br />through to the State. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that individuals can register for the 8K/5K Run/Walks and <br />parade on-line and recommended early registration. Council Member Paar felt that <br />registration was still taking place for the softball and kickball tournaments and to see <br />Corner Express for those registrations. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br />
