City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> August 14, 2013 <br /> Administrator Larson reported that it was anticipated that the sand volleyball court at <br /> Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park would be completed at the end of the month and that the <br /> Parks & Recreation Committee desired to challenge the Council and Planning & Zoning <br /> Commission to a tournament. <br /> Attorney Glaser reported on the following items: <br /> a. Nuisance Property Abatement — 7121 Centerville Road <br /> Attorney Glaser stated that a warrant to inspect the property had been received from the <br /> Courts and the property again has gotten worse. Attorney Glaser was hopeful that with <br /> pictures obtained from the inspection, the residents and their attorney would be willing to <br /> address the repeated issue. <br /> b. Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park — Field Damage /Restitution <br /> Attorney Glaser reported that he had been in contact with the individuals that had utilized <br /> the field without a permit damaging the turf and that they desired to appear before <br /> Council with a formal apology. The two (2) individuals that organized the event were <br /> unable to attend the meeting but desired to make restitution by holding additional events <br /> prior to the end of the year allowing for the repayment. Several expressed that the entire <br /> restitution amount should be received prior to future consideration of usage. <br /> Council Member Paar reported in the most recent Fire Steering meeting included <br /> discussion of the budget, relief association funding, recruiting efforts, training programs, <br /> etc. <br /> Council Member Paar also desired to thank all of those involved in volunteering, <br /> planning, participating, etc. with the annual Fete des Lacs City Celebration. <br /> Council Member Love thanked Council Member Paar for his commitment to the parade's <br /> organization and leadership. <br /> Council Member Love reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission would be <br /> holding a public hearing discussing a code amendment which would allow for privacy <br /> fencing at their upcoming meeting. <br /> The Mayor convened to City Council Closed Executive Session at 8:05 p.m. <br /> X. CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION — Appraisals & Real Estate Listing <br /> Consideration <br /> The City Council of Centerville, Minnesota met in a closed session at 8:05 p.m. Present <br /> were Mayor Tom Wilharber, Council Members Jeff Paar, Steve King, and D Love.
