PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> Wednesday, August 7, 2013 — 6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of <br /> Centerville held a scheduled meeting on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at City Hall. <br /> Present: Chairperson Patrick Branch <br /> Vice - Chairperson Jon Grahek <br /> Committee Member Kevin Amundsen !� <br /> Committee Member Chris Bettinger <br /> Committee Member Mark Haiden <br /> Committee Member Brian Peterson n <br /> Committee Member Suzanne Seeley �J <br /> Committee Member Kevin Waeghe <br /> Also Present: Council Member, Steve King <br /> Linda Neudecker, Recording Secretary <br /> Nick Twohy <br /> Absent: Public Works Director, Paul Palzer <br /> L CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairperson Branch called the August 7, 2013 Meeting of the Parks & Recreation Committee to <br /> order at 6:35 p.m. at the City Hall. <br /> Roll Call — see above <br /> Chairperson Branch welcomed Mr. Twohy to the meeting as an observer and gave him an <br /> overview of the Committee. <br /> 11. SET AGENDA <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Waeghe to set the agenda as presented with the following additions: to Committee Business <br /> add #5. "Farewell to Mark Haiden" & #6. "Grand Opening of Volleyball Court (to be <br /> completed by the end of August) "; To Updates add #4 Volleyball Court. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> III. APPEARANCES — <br /> Mr. Wayne LeBlanc was present and reported on the conditions of water quality of <br /> Peltier Lake and the Heron population. <br /> Mr. LeBlanc stated that "Peltier Lake has some of the worst water quality in the State" <br /> and is listed as having "Impaired Water ". He advocated the continuance of the no -wake <br /> zone on the northern half of the lake, the use of rain gardens and respect for wetland <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br />
