City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> October 23, 2013 <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King to approve <br /> the minutes of the October 9, 2013 City Council Meeting Minutes as presented. All <br /> in favor. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> V. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 1. City of Centerville October 9, 2013 through October 23, 2013 Claims (Check <br /> #28291 - 28312) & (Check #28313- 28344) <br /> 2. Centennial Police Department Claims through October 10, 2013 (Check #9626- <br /> 9649) <br /> 3. Pay Estimate #4, Northdale Construction — 2013 Street Improvement Project — <br /> $136,717.49 <br /> Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member King to approve <br /> the Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS /APPEARANCES <br /> 1. None. <br /> VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. None. <br /> VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Res. #13 -023 — Authorizing the Creation of Fund #409 — Capital Equipment <br /> Replacement Fund <br /> Administrator Larson stated that through the 2013 budget preparations, Council <br /> determined that they would budget for larger capital expenditures which would include <br /> such items as new roofing, floor covering, automobile replacement, building generator <br /> replacement, etc. Administrator Larson stated that these repairs /replacements are atypical <br /> and at times can be untimely; however, Council determined to be pro- active by allocating <br /> funding over several years and for accounting purposes this repeated funding should be <br /> applied to the suggested Fund #409 — Capital Equipment Replacement Fund. <br /> Council Member King questioned the original items that Council considered during <br /> budget preparations and Administrator Larson stated that he would provide a listing to <br /> the entire Council for review. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King to approve <br /> Res #13 -023 — Authorizing the Creation of Fund #409 — Capital Equipment <br /> Replacement Fund.
