CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> December 18, 2013 <br /> 6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of Centerville held a special <br /> meeting on December 18, 2013, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> Council Member Steve King Council Member D. Love � 0 0� pq(P4 <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Ben Fehrenbacher <br /> Council Member Jeff Paar <br /> STAFF: City Administrator Dallas Larson <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Wilharber called the meeting to order at 6:3 p.m. <br /> The purpose of the meeting was to consider a proposed amendment to the Centennial Fire <br /> District, Joint Powers Agreement. The amendment would extend the opportunity to give <br /> notice to withdraw from the district to January 30, 2014. The exact text of the amendment <br /> is as follows: <br /> 11.1 Notice: Member municipalities may withdraw from the District only in <br /> accordance with this section. Notice to withdraw may only be given between <br /> January 1, 2014 and January 30, 2014 or during the month of December in <br /> odd - numbered years, beginning December of 2015. Such notice shall provide a <br /> minimum of two (2) years notice to the remaining municipalities of the intent <br /> to withdraw. <br /> Motion by Council member Love, seconded by Council member King that the <br /> amendment be approved as presented. All present voted in favor. Motion passed. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Love to adiourn <br /> the Council meeting at 6:45 p.m. All in favor.
