2.6.1 Voting Each committee member present at the meeting other than ex officio <br /> administrative staff members shall be entitled on one vote. Unless otherwise <br /> provided in the agreement the committee may take the action on any issue by <br /> a 51 percent of greater vote of those members present and entitled to vote at a <br /> duly called meeting, subject to the quorum requirement of section 2.5. <br /> 2.6.2 Notwithstanding a majority vote_ for passage of a motion, where two members <br /> from any one city vote against the motion, the motion shall be immediately tabled <br /> ,for consideration at the next regular or special meeting. The city With the tWo <br /> votes against the motion shall submit written reasons for then opposition at least <br /> three days in advance of the next meeting to all the Fire Steering Committee <br /> members. <br /> At the following meeting the issue shall be removed from the table and discussed <br /> and a vote taken. If the two members,from the city who voted against the motion, <br /> still vote against the motion, then the action may not proceed. Such vote will <br /> constitute a veto, for that City. A motion to reconsider the issue shall not occur <br /> until at least six months have passed,from the date of the veto. <br /> Each City shall be limited to two vetoes in anv calendar year. <br /> The provisions of section 2.6.2 shall not apply to anv City that has given notice of <br /> withdrawal as provided in section XI Withdrawal. <br /> 2.6.3 In the absence of the designated elected committee official, the designated <br /> elected official alternate of that municipality shall become a voting member of <br /> the committee. <br /> There shall be no voting by proxy. Votes must be cast at a committee meeting <br /> by a committee member. <br /> Administrative staff approval of payment of bills as in section 2.3 shall <br /> require unanimous agreement. <br />
