RES. #14 -012 <br /> A RESOLUTION ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING <br /> WHEREAS, on February 13, 2013, the City Council Adopted Res. #13 -009, approving a special <br /> assessment on the improvements of 21 sc Avenue from a point of approximately 600 feet south of <br /> Main Street to a point approximately 1,400 feet south of Main Street and continuing on <br /> Commerce Drive parallel to Main Street westerly to 20 Avenue, by installation of water main, <br /> sanitary sewer, street pavement, curb, storm sewer and related drainage improvement, and <br /> WHEREAS, the amount of the special assessment was in the amount of $249,000, and <br /> WHEREAS, the owner of the assessed property made payments towards the special assessment <br /> and interest, and a balance remains due. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CENTERVILLE, <br /> MINNESOTA, <br /> 1. A hearing shall be held on March 26, 2014, at City Hall, at 6:30 p.m., to pass upon the <br /> execution of the unpaid amounts of the special assessment and /or interest, and at such <br /> time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvements will be given <br /> an opportunity to be heard. <br /> 2. The City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the unpaid <br /> amounts of the special assessment and/or interest, to be published in the official <br /> newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and he shall state in the notice the total <br /> cost of the special assessment, interest and unpaid amounts.
