CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> Res. #14 -0 /5 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BIDS ON 21 AVENUE STREET <br /> IMPROVEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Res. #13 -016 the City entered into a Joint Powers Agreement <br /> with the City of Lino Lakes for the improvement of 21 Avenue north of Main Street, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the Joint Powers Agreement, the City of Lino Lakes has <br /> prepared plans and specifications for making the improvement, and <br /> WHEREAS, the city of Lino Lakes advertised for and received bids for the making of the <br /> improvement, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes engineer has reviewed and tabulated the bids and <br /> recommends awarding the contract to A- I Excavating, Inc. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br /> I. The City Council hereby approves the City of Lino Lakes accepting the bid and <br /> awarding a construction contract to A -1 Excavating, Inc. <br /> 2. In accordance with the Joint Powers Agreement, payment of 90% of the <br /> anticipated construction cost in the amount of $310,961, is hereby authorized to <br /> be paid within 60 days of the award of the project. <br /> 3. The costs of the project shall be paid from the Water Fund, and special <br /> assessments collected to recover those costs shall be receipted into the same fund. <br /> Adopted by the Council this 12 day of March, 2014. <br /> Tom Wilharber, Mayor <br /> st: <br /> Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />
