<br />Notice of Hearing on Proposed Assessment <br /> <br /> <br />TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given that the council will meet at 6:30 p.m. on April 9, 2014 at City Hall, <br />1880 Main Street, Centerville, MN, to consider amending the assessment for the <br />st <br />improvement of 21 Avenue from a point approximately 600 feet south of Main Street to a <br />point approximately 1,400 feet south of Main Street and continuing on a new unnamed <br />th <br />street (now Commerce Drive) parallel to Main Street westerly to 20 Avenue by <br />installation of watermain, sanitary sewer street pavement, curb, storm sewer and related <br />drainage improvements. Adoption by the council of the amended assessment may occur at <br />the hearing. The area proposed to be assessed is the abutting property. <br /> <br />Repayment of the amended special assessment is proposed to be in accordance with the <br />terms of Resolution Number 09-015 adopted on June 10, 2009. The City intends to <br />determine the application of interest due on the special assessment, and this amount is <br />accumulating daily. <br /> <br />The proposed assessment roll is on file for public inspection at the City Clerk’s office. The <br />total amount of the proposed assessment is $1,609,930. Written or oral objections will be <br />considered at the meeting. No appeal to district court may be taken as to the amount of an <br />assessment unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with <br />the municipal clerk prior to the assessment hearing or presented to the presiding officer at <br />the hearing. The council may upon such notice consider any objection to the amount of a <br />proposed individual assessment at an adjourned meeting upon such further notice to the <br />affected property owners as it deems advisable. <br /> <br />An owner may appeal an assessment to district court pursuant to Minn.
