RESOLUTION NUMBER 14 -016 <br /> A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING <br /> WHEREAS, on February 26, 2014, the City Council adopted Res. #14 -012, which set a date for <br /> a public hearing to consider amending the special assessment on the improvements of 21 <br /> Avenue from a point of approximately 600 feet south of Main Street to a point approximately <br /> 1,400 feet south of Main Street and continuing on Commerce Drive parallel to Main Street <br /> westerly to 20 Avenue, by installation of water main, sanitary sewer, street pavement, curb, storm <br /> sewer and related drainage improvement, and <br /> WHEREAS, A hearing was ordered to be held on March 26, 2014, at City Hall, at 6:30 p.m., to <br /> pass upon the execution of the unpaid amounts of the special assessment and /or interest, and <br /> WHEREAS, the newspaper was not able to publish the notice within the required time, making it <br /> necessary to postpone the hearing to allow for notice to be published as required by statute. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA, <br /> 1. The hearing shall date shall be postponed to April _, 2014, at City Hall, at 6:30 <br /> p.m., to pass upon the execution of the unpaid amounts of the special assessment <br /> and /or interest, and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by <br /> such improvements will be given an opportunity to be heard. <br /> 2. The City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the <br /> unpaid amounts of the special assessment and/or interest, to be published in <br /> the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and he shall state in the <br /> notice the total cost of the special assessment, interest and unpaid amounts. He shall <br /> also cause mailed notice to the owner of each parcel described in the <br /> assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing. <br /> Passed by the City Council of the City of Centerville this 12th day of March, 2014. <br /> L- � <br /> Tom Wilharber, Mayor <br /> Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />
