RES. #14 -018 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENT TO ROYAL MEADOWS WHEREAS, it has been proposed to improve the following streets: North Robin Lane from 20 Avenue to West Robin Lane, and West Robin Lane from North Robin Lane to South Robin Lane, and South Robin Lane from 20 Avenue to West Robin Lane and Cardinal Drive from West Robin Lane to 20 Avenue by construction of watermain and watermain services, and WHEREAS, the Council on January 8, 2014, authorized advertising for bids for this improvement, and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for making the improvement, the bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the attached tabulations indicate bids were received complying with the advertisement: See Attached "EXHIBIT A" WHEREAS, it appears that Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. of Blaine, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder on the materials, and WHEREAS, it appears that C & L Excavating, Inc. of St. Joseph, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder on the labor and equipment. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. of Blaine, Minnesota, in the name of the City of Centerville for materials for the aforementioned improvement according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Council and on file with the City Clerk. 2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with C & L Excavating, Inc. of St. Joseph, Minnesota, in the name of the City of Centerville for labor and equipment for the aforementioned improvement according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Council and on file with the City Clerk.
