City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 26, 2014 <br />upcoming. Administrator Larson suggested commencing the meeting at 7:00 p.m. or shortly <br />thereafter allowing the Council ample time to discuss their needed Council items. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to schedule the Joint Work Session for April 9, 2014. <br /> <br />4. Well Head Protection Joint Powers Agreement First Addendum <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated several additional communities within the Anoka County area <br />desired to enter into the cooperative and the Addendum, allows them to participate. <br />Administrator Larson stated that the communities of Anoka, Blaine, Centerville, Circle Pines, <br />Lexington and Spring Lake Park are members in conjunction with Anoka. Administrator Larson <br />stated that to date, there have been no costs due to receiving a grant which allowed for <br />developing a web site which is providing public information and publishing public relations <br /> <br />information for member cities’ uses. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to approve <br />the Well Head Protection Joint Powers Agreement - First Addendum as presented. <br /> <br />Council Member King questioned expenditures associated with the group. Administrator Larson <br />stated that all expenditures to date have been covered by a grant. <br /> <br />All in favor except, Council Member King abstained. Motion carried. <br /> <br />st <br />5. Res. #14-012 – Calling for a Public Hearing to Modify the Assessment for 21 <br /> Avenue/Backage Road (Commerce Drive) Project <br /> <br />Legal Counsel Glaser stated that he is requesting Council to consider adopting the presented <br />resolution which would allow the City, subsequent to the Hearing, to collect interest on the <br />st <br />special assessment associated with the 21 Avenue/Backage Road (Commerce Drive) Project. <br />Legal Counsel stated that he has been in contact with Sheehy’s new attorney who suggested the <br />hearing date of March 26, 2014. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to approve <br />st <br />Res. #14-012 – Calling for a Public Hearing to Modify the Assessment for 21 <br />Avenue/Backage Road (Commerce Drive) Project as presented. All in favor. Motion <br />Passed. <br /> <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />Legal Counsel Glaser stated that the 2014 Legislative session has commenced and two bills <br />(house and senate may affect the Ticket Education Program) <br /> <br />Engineer Statz stated that it is anticipated that the sales tax exemption provided to government <br />entities will be more defined in this legislative session. <br />Page 4 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
