The City Council of the City of Centerville met on Wednesday, March 8, 1978 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 7100 pm. Present were: Burque, L'Allier, Murray, Peterson and Attorney Hawkins. Elmer Murray made a motion to accept minutes of meeting held February 22, 1978, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Leon L'Allier made a motion to issue a license to D -C General Builders for sewer construction work in the City of Centerville during 1978, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Elmer Murray made a motion to adopt Resolution #7, Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. Resolution #7 is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Mayor Prachar advised council of a request from the Rice Creek Watershed District asking for copies of our meeting minutes. Council advised clerk to put them on mailing list. Discussion was held on the 1978 fire contract with Lino Lakes. Clerk from Lino has informed Centerville clerk of change in square mile coverage from 20 to 15. Lino council was to discuss contract at their council meeting on March 13 and advise Centerville accordingly. Matter was tabled until the March 22 council meeting. Complaint has been voiced on the condition of property at 6892 Centerville Road. Clerk was asked to inform Building Inspector of situation and report back. Elmer Murray made a motion to approve agreement with Barton - Aschman, City Planners, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Discussion was held on preliminary plat of LeRoux Addition. Matter tabled until next meeting. Council requested the Attorney and Bngineer to work on "old" Mound Trail legal description. Clerk informed City Council Board of Review for the City would be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 7100 pm in the City Hall. Clerk read letter from Walt Williams on the Clearwater Creek Report prepared by the Corp of Engineers. Council instructed Mayor to draft letter to the Corp of Engineers advising them that the City is not entirely pleased with their report. Street restoration study was discussed. Council consensus was to go along with Plan A and the Mayor was to call the Anoka County Highway Department to find out what the County plans to pick up on the cost of the 2 -block Centerville Road restoration. Walt Williams was to come to March 22nd meeting with two planes Plan A - The County picking up half of the Centerville Road 2 -block restoration and city picking up other halft Plan A - Dropping Centerville Road restoration completely.
