Res.#14-020 <br /> A RESOLUTION TO CERTIFY UNPAID PRICINPAL AND ACCRUED INTEREST UPON IMPROVEMENT <br /> WHEREAS,a public hearing and public meeting were held before the City Council on April 9, 2014,to <br /> consider the matter of unpaid principal and accrued interest against property owned by the Sheehy <br /> Construction Company, and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law,the council has met and heard and <br /> passed upon all objections to the proposed accrued interest for improvement of 21"Avenue from a <br /> point approximately 600 feet south of Main Street to a point approximately 1,400 feet south of Main <br /> Street and continuing on a new unnamed street(now Commerce Drive) parallel to Main Street westerly <br /> to 20th Avenue, by installation of watermain, sanitary sewer,street pavement, curb, storm sewer and <br /> related drainage improvements, and <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution 09-015, Resolution 13-009 and Resolution 13-009A,the Council adopted <br /> assessments and an Assessment Roll related to the aforementioned improvements on February 13, <br /> 2013, and <br /> WHEREAS,the Council has met and heard this matter pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.017, <br /> subdivision 2 for the purpose of calculating and certifying unpaid amounts of principal and accrued <br /> interest upon the assessment of such parcel identified herein to Anoka County for collection, and <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) Such proposed interest, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is adopted and shall <br /> constitute accrued interest of the previous special assessment against the lands named therein. <br /> 2) The Administrator shall file the amended assessment rolls pertaining to this interest assessment in the <br /> office of the county auditor, such that installments of interest will be collected as due with taxes on each <br /> parcel of land. <br /> Adopted by the City Council this 9th day of April, 2014. <br /> --_ <br /> Tom Wilharber, Mayor <br /> At est �. <br /> c <br /> Teresa Bender,City Clerk <br />
