P~(651) 429-8629 <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />COUNlY OF ANOKA, MINNESOTA <br />RES. #06-023 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVING PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS, AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ON <br />IMPROVEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted on the 220d of February, 2006, <br />ftxed a date for a public hearing on the proposed improvement of 21st Avenue from a <br />point approximately 600 feet south of Main Street to a point approximately 1400 feet <br />south of Main Street and continuing on a new unnamed street parallel to Main Street <br />westerly to 20th Avenue, by installation of watermain, sanitary sewer, street pavement, <br />curb, storm sewer and related drainage improvements, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeksJublished notice of the hearing was <br />given, and the hearing was held thereon on the 22 day of March, 2006, at which all <br />persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the City Council, the consulting engineer has <br />prepared plans and specifications for the improvement and has presented such plans and <br />speciftcations to the council for approval, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the council resolution <br />adopted on the 22ND day of February, 2006. <br /> <br />2. As directed, Tom Peterson of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik, has prepared plans <br />and speciftcations for the making of this improvement. Such plans and <br />speciftcations, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof: are <br />hereby approved. <br /> <br />3. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper <br />and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of <br />such improvement under such approved plans and speciftcations. The <br />advertisement shall be published as required by law, shall specify the work to be <br />done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 <br />p.m. on April 24, 2006, at which time they will be publicly opened in the council <br />chambers of City Hall by the City Administrator and engineer, will then be <br />tabulated, and will be considered by the council within 30 days of such opening. <br />
